We hope this message finds you well. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for its continued trust, engagement, and contributions. It is a privilege to serve a journal that plays such an important role in advancing research in Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial, and Production Engineering and Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our mission remains unchanged: to provide a high-quality, open-access, and inclusive platform for the dissemination of rigorous and relevant research. With continued support from ABEPRO (Brazilian Association of Production Engineering), Production<\/em> maintains its no-APC policy and its presence in major indexing databases, including SCOPUS, SciELO, Redalyc, and EBSCO, reinforcing its international visibility and academic impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Currently, our editorial indicators are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Average Time (2025):<\/p>\n\n\n\n Building on the progress achieved in the past year, our focus for this new cycle is on strengthening the journal\u2019s editorial structure, enhancing the quality of the review process, and fostering an even more engaged and diverse scholarly community. In this context, we are pleased to highlight the key planned and ongoing actions for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In January 2026, Prof. Rodrigo Caiado (PUC-Rio)<\/strong> started his term as Co-Editor<\/strong> of Production<\/em>. His experience and leadership will be instrumental in further consolidating our editorial processes and supporting the journal\u2019s strategic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We will also launch new calls for Associate Editors and reviewers to expand and refresh our editorial board and reviewer pool. This initiative seeks to ensure thematic diversity, methodological rigor, and timely handling of submissions, while also creating opportunities for broader community participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Recognizing the central role of peer review in maintaining the journal\u2019s quality, we are planning a workshop specifically designed for new reviewers. This initiative will focus on best practices in peer review, ethical standards, and how to deliver constructive, fair, and impactful evaluations that meaningfully contribute to authors\u2019 work and the field as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, we reaffirm our commitment to providing authors with even more detailed, transparent, and constructive feedback throughout the editorial process. Improving the quality of editorial communication and decision rationale is a key priority, as we believe it directly contributes to learning, research improvement, and trust in the publication process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Looking ahead, we will continue collaborating with research societies and promoting thematic sections on emerging and socially relevant topics in Production Engineering, while continuously refining our editorial performance indicators to better serve authors, reviewers, and readers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Production<\/em> thrives because of its community. Your engagement as authors, reviewers, editors, and readers is essential to the journal\u2019s continued growth and excellence. We warmly invite you to remain actively involvedby submitting your research, contributing to peer review, and supporting initiatives that strengthen our field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank you for your continued support.
